MMT Acoustix® is the parent brand. Under it sit seven product brands, each covering one job in an acoustic build-up: absorbing sound, blocking it, treating a window, finishing a surface or holding the whole thing to the wall. All of them are manufactured at our own plant in Palwal, Haryana.

How they fit together

One build-up, several brands

A finished room is rarely one product. A home theatre wall might carry SoundBlanket® to stop sound leaving, BassBloc® in the corners for the low end, Echsorbix® felt at the reflection points, SoundaXe® slats where it has to look finished, Vindo® across the window, and Turbo SR® adhesive holding the panels on. Knowing which brand does which job is the quickest way to specify correctly.

    MMT Acoustix®

    Acoustic foam and bass traps

    The parent brand, and the name on the foam range. Profiled polyurethane panels for reflection control in studios, home theatres and voice rooms, plus corner bass traps for the low frequencies that flat panels cannot reach. Profiles include Galaxy, Pyramid, Wedge, Turbo, Boxer, Groove, Hexagon, Egg Tray and Alien.

    SoundBlanket®

    Mass loaded vinyl soundproofing membrane

    The blocking layer, introduced in 2019 for the problems absorption cannot solve. A dense, limp membrane that goes inside a wall, ceiling or floor build-up to add mass where there is no room for a thicker wall. This is the brand to reach for when the complaint is what the neighbours can hear, not how the room sounds inside. It is never a finish layer; it is sealed into the construction and covered.

    Echsorbix®

    PET felt acoustic panels

    Polyester felt, made from recycled fibre, pressed into panels, ceiling tiles, baffles, clouds and screens. It is the workhorse of the range: it takes colour, it cuts and routs cleanly, it holds a Class A surface, and it is what most offices, schools and cafes end up specified in. Absorption scales with thickness and with what sits behind it.

    SoundaXe®

    Wooden acoustic panels

    Where the room has to measure well and look finished. Slatted, fluted and perforated timber panels over an acoustic backing, so the absorption happens behind a surface that reads as joinery rather than as treatment. Used in auditoriums, boardrooms, hotel lobbies and living rooms.

    Vindo®

    Acoustic and soundproof curtains

    Launched in 2020, when every bedroom and dining table became an office. A window is usually the weakest surface in a room and the hardest one to rebuild. Vindo treats windows, doors and glass without construction, permission or a contractor: the soundproof weight for traffic and street noise, the lighter acoustic weight for echo and call clarity.

    BassBloc®

    Low-frequency absorber

    Added in 2022. The low end is where most treatment stops working, because absorption needs depth and mass at long wavelengths. BassBloc is a dense absorber made for the 100 to 500 Hz range, used in corners and behind other panels. It is a core material, not a finish: it has to be covered by felt, fabric or timber and never left exposed.

    Turbo SR®

    Acoustic adhesives

    The bonding line. A liquid synthetic rubber adhesive for panels, felt and foam, and a contact spray for faster work on large areas. Acoustic panels fail on site more often through poor adhesion than through poor material, particularly foam on a painted or dusty wall, so the adhesive is specified alongside the panel rather than picked up locally.

    WDWL®

    Wood wool acoustic panels

    Wall and ceiling panels made from two natural materials, wood and cement. The combination absorbs sound while giving the surface a resilience the other absorbers do not have: it copes with moisture, it resists fire, and it takes a knock. Used where a ceiling has to perform acoustically and survive a swimming pool, a workshop, a corridor or a sports hall.

Which brand do I need for my problem?

If the noise is coming from another space, you need a blocking product, so SoundBlanket, with BassBloc where the noise is low-frequency. If it is coming through a window, start with Vindo. If your own room echoes, you need an absorber, so Echsorbix, MMT Acoustix or SoundaXe.

Can I download the product catalogues?

Are the brands sold separately or as systems?

Both. Individual products are sold through the online store, and on projects they are specified together as build-ups, because most real problems need a blocking layer, a damping layer and an absorptive finish rather than any one product.
