Client Challenge

Hilton Resorts required world-class soundproofing materials for its ultra-luxury villa project in Dubai. The goal was to:

Isolate noise between adjacent rooms and levels to create private, quiet spaces.

Maintain high acoustic standards expected in a luxury hospitality environment.

Supply materials that could be seamlessly concealed within high-end finishes.

Our Approach

1

SoundBlanket® MLV 4 mm: Applied in walls and partitions to achieve high STC-rated sound isolation.

2

SoundBlanket® MLV 2.5 mm: Installed under flooring layers to reduce impact noise and create silent footfall zones.

3

Sound Insulation Pad (SIP) 50 mm: Placed strategically behind walls and ceilings for deep acoustic absorption and resonance control.

This layered approach ensured unparalleled quietness and privacy, fitting Hilton’s luxury hospitality standards.

Frequently Asked Questions

What was supplied to Hilton Resorts, Dubai?

6,150 m2 in total: SoundBlanket MLV 4 mm as the primary isolation layer, SoundBlanket MLV 2.5 mm as the secondary floor isolation layer, and 50 mm Sound Insulation Pad for high-density absorption, across a luxury villa project.

Why use two different MLV thicknesses in one project?

Because the walls and the floors have different demands. The 4 mm grade at STC 34 carries the primary room-to-room isolation, while the 2.5 mm grade at STC 30 is used in the floor build-up where thickness is constrained by the finished floor level. Mass is applied where it is needed, not uniformly.

What does the Sound Insulation Pad add?

Absorption inside the cavity. Once a mass layer blocks transmission, an absorber in the air space stops the cavity resonating and behaving as a coupled system, which is what lets the two leaves perform closer to their potential.

How were the materials concealed in a luxury villa interior?

Both grades sit behind the finish, in the wall build-up and under the floor. Nothing is visible when the villa is complete, which is why this approach suits hospitality projects where the acoustic requirement cannot be allowed to influence the interior design.
